Sales counter and dress rehearsal!

Our custom made sales counter arrived this week! Crafted by Claude and Delaine Daoust of Telford. Here it is in their shop:

By Friday evening, thanks to a major work effort by Craig Ford and Town of Jonesborough crew, we were able to move the sales counter in to the store, and begin the spruce-up for Saturday evening's donor appreciation event.

Paint!

Debbie Kruse volunteered to help paint the main room on Friday, and today Elliott and I tackled the store room and office.  Don't be fooled, there is still PLENTY of finishing to be done, but it was nice to move it a little closer!

The cooler is in!

Coming soon:  your fresh eggs, dairy and produce nice and cool behind these glass doors!

• Foster is waving at you from the "loft", which will house the heat & air system for the store, and also serve as remote storage.  It is accessed by pull-down attic stairs visible on the far left.  
• The recessed area to the left of the glass doors will hold built-in shelving 
• The doorway to the left of that leads to the "back office" and the kitchen.  
• The garage doors are out of view to the right.

A range!

Harold and Nancy Dishner have donated this wonderful 60" commercial gas range for the store!  It is just what we needed, and to receive it as a gift is represents a huge savings for us.  Thank you, Harold & Nancy!

We are very grateful to Town of Jonesborough Staff (Bobby, Matt, Tim, Mike, Jeff & Beebo) who helped with the move, along with Herman Jenkins who shared Main Street Cafe's lift truck!  This gift was going nowhere without all these folks!

And since the floor isn't finished in the kitchen yet, temporary storage is being provided by Andrea Erb and Don Donahue....

Getting closer!

This is what the store looks like now (for comparison to the last post, see below)....drywall is up, some painting has started. The walk-in cooler has arrived, in pieces, and installation will begin next week!
